Zürich Airport
On January 29th, 2005 my flight from Prague landed at Zürich airport, almost an hour later than scheduled. Snowfall had delayed all flights in and out of the airport and it was unusually quiet for the time of day.
Still stunned from the change in airpressure upon landing, a deep drone coming from one of the terminals escalators caught my attention.
Wandering through the large modern structure, the almost deserted airport revealed a layer of sound usually barried beneath a stream of travelers.
